Concrete conservation actions to reshape portions of Pantano Longarini carried out during summer 2021 continue showing very positive results, in this case during the breeding season 2022. At least 4 pairs of Marbled duck entirely formed by specimens released in the area in the context of project’s restocking program have successfully bred in the area; among these pairs, at least 2 pairs have bred and grown up juveniles withing the areas re-shaped and improved for the purpose with the creation of suitable niches for the species to breed. A twofold success which has been further enriched by the circumstance that number of juveniles born and fledged has been particularly high.
