LIFE Cerceta pardilla: seminar for the exchange of knowledge and experience on Marbled duck.

On October 26th, a day-long seminar took place in Seville in order to promote exchange of experiences on projects aimed at protecting Marbled duck. All of the contributions from speakers added valuable and important information on the species, on the conservation of wetlands and in particular on the management of habitat of this species in order to favor its expansion. The seminar, organized within the LIFE Cerceta pardilla project, has been attended by over than 50 experts in the field of science, ecology and management of the species, but also by speakers involved in the conservation of wetlands and Marbled duck all over Europe. Among various speakers, Carlo Cappuzzello, manager of “LIFE Marbled duck PSSO” project has been invited by the Spanish LIFE Cerceta pardilla project management team to present the concrete conservation actions that have been performed and are planned in “Pantani della Sicilia sud orientale” area.

The seminar resulted as a remarkably important occasion to share and exchange experiences on the management of the most endangered European wildfowl species.
