During specific census which is being carried out in the context of the project new records of Bittern in winter have occurred. Also in the current wintering season 2021 – 2022 the species has been recorded several times and in a few occasions 2 specimens at once have been recorded again. Such records are extremely important to improve knowledge about species preferences in terms of habitat, thus allowing to better focus specific concrete conservation actions.
