Diego Massari, a 3rd year student of the Perugia NID design institute, is the winner of the “Create a Logo for LIFE” competition. Massari gave a stylized and essential representation of the Marbled duck, main target species of the LIFE project. A simple and original shape that convinced the judges for its appeal, easy declination and reproducibility. The choice was still complex and not immediate as the call for the contents was attended by several students representing various design schools, in particular: NAD-Nuova Accademia del Design (Verona), Fondazione Istituto Rizzoli for the teaching of GraphicArts (Milan), Nuovo Design Institute (Perugia), Politecnico (Turin). Beyond the award-winning logo, the Stiftung Pro Artenvielfalt – Pro Biodiversity Foundation would like to praise all of the students taking part to the contest, since with their works they have shown a worthy commitment and above all the ability to adapt their artistic talents to wildlife conservation issues.
The prizes for the winner of the competition are a guided tour inside the private wildlife reserve “Pantani Cuba and Longarini”, a field guide on birdwatching and a free overnight stay at “B&B Agramonte” in Ispica (RG) and “Il Melograno residence ”in Marzamemi (SR).
